Thanks for taking the time to chat with SIW. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your blog.
ROMA : Hey Lovelies,I am Roma, n I love to call myself Destiny’s Chosen Child. I am an Automobile Engineer and Business Developer by profession, with a career span of over 10 years in Tata Motors, Honda Cars and Ikea of Sweden. I also am a Blogger, a Writer n Poetess at heart, A Free Soul and Fun-Lover, Creative Multi -tasker Mommy, Basically a Jack of all Trades.
I have lately taken to Blogging, compelled by my deep love for Writing..
My Blog “Straight From the Heart” is my endeavor to bring to you the beauty of complex relations, most candidly expressed in the form of stories, to touch and tinkle your souls and stay in your hearts Forever. It is my way of looking at life and human emotions which each one has been touched upon at some point in time. Motherhood being the most important and my most favorite of all undoubtedly. But Don’t be surprised to hear from me on travels, on fashion or on anything else too, that truly deserves a Beautiful Expression “Straight from my Heart”.
What makes your blog so unique and why should people read it?
ROMA : My Blog is unique in the sense that it absolutely does not mean regular business. It will drive you away from the daily hustle bustle of life n mesmerize your soul with some really heart-touching real life stories, relaxing and de-stressing you completely. You will find yourself in my characters and relate to them every sense, get inspired by them and will be able to find your way ahead in life guided by them.
How often do you blog?
ROMA : I ensure my readers get a weekly dose of my love for them through my writings. Sometimes it even goes upto 2-3 times a week .
What has been your most successful blog post to date and what was it about?
ROMA : My most successful Blogpost till date is,
“Caring Mommy Vs Wifey Sweet : The True tale Of a Working Mom”
It speaks beautifully of a Dilemma of a New Mom, who has fallen prey to life’s most difficult Circumstances and how she carves out her way out of this vicious Circle. On one side she has her childhood best buddy, her husband and his dreams and on the other hand her Lactose Intolerant little Baby, what path did she choose.
What do you find most challenging about blogging?
ROMA : Only to pull out time to right straight from my heart- to strike the right cords of my readers’ Hearts.
What are some of your favorite author blogs and why?
ROMA : I am a huge admirer of Shobha de for umpteen number of years now. I adore her blog http://shobhaade.blogspot.in/. I find her a unique blend of Satire and Compassion.
What are your favorite books that you would recommend SIW family?
ROMA : I love to read Autobiographies and Biographies addictively . My advice is read the biographies of the veterans of the field you want to excel in eventually. They would sure show you the right path. For example if you are a budding entrepreneur, read “BUSINESS MAHARAJAS BY GITA PIRAMAL”
Can we really make a living by Blogging? If yes, how we can do that?
ROMA : Writing for me is the most earnest and beautiful form of Expression and not a medium to earn a living. But it does make sense to make your passion, a full time career. When people will relate to you and your Blog, advertising on your Blog can fetch you good money.
What advice would you give to young women readers of SIW who want to follow a similar career path as you?
ROMA : ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR HEART!
LEAVE NO STONE UN-TURNED TO MATERIALIZE YOUR DREAMS!
AND WORK PASSIONATELY!
There will be momentary obstacles, but trust me
“THIS TOO SHALL PASS”
