Thanks for taking the time to chat with SIW. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your blog.
Sarika : Hi, I am Sarika from The Taste of the World. I am originally from Delhi, India. I moved to US approx. 21 years back and married for 9 years. I am blessed with two beautiful kids who are 7 and 3. I have been cooking for the last 25 years. Started with the basics and now trying my hands on different things. My husband inspired me to start my blog which is only 10 months old. My blog has a good variety of food from around the world.
What makes your blog so unique and why should people read it?
Sarika : My blog is unique as my recipes are so simple and with the step by step pictures and instructions even a novice cook can recreate the dishes. You will also find so many dishes from everywhere which gives you something different other than just Indian food.
How often do you blog?
Sarika : I try to blog at least twice a week, but there are some days when I am not able to post at all.
What do you find most challenging about blogging?
Sarika : Photography is most challenging about blogging. Learning each day and there is still a lot to learn. It is so true when they say, “Everyday is a learning process and we learn something new each day.”
What are some of your favorite author blogs and why?
Sarika : I like all the blogs out there because each blog is unique in its own way. It is difficult to pick and choose.
What are your favorite books that you would recommend SIW family?
Sarika : I am not a big reader at all, but once in a while I will pick up a cookbook go through the recipes..
Can we really make a living by Blogging? If yes, how we can do that?
Sarika : Yes there is way and many people are making a living by Blogging. As a newbie in blogging, I am concentrating on my blog at the moment, making money will be come later on.
What advice would you give to young women readers of SIW who want to follow a similar career path as you?
Sarika : We all get to live once, if you can then my advice to all the readers is follow your dream. Make your dream a passion.
