Thanks for taking the time to chat with SIW. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your blog.

Vandana : Hi,I am Vandana Choudhary, freelance content writer and fashion blogger. I did my graduation from Kamala Nehru College, DU and now I work online from home as it gives me freedom to choose my own working hours. My blog Life Rocks is very special to me because I always wanted to something something on my own and when I started blogging, it gave me an opportunity to make me my dream come true. Initially I started writing for the love of writing but now I write to earn also.

What makes your blog so unique and why should people read it?

Vandana : My blog is unique because I write about latest fashion trends, genuine reviews of online stores, and other useful and interesting posts about best deals and discounts available online for online shoppers. I also do outfit posts which help fashionistas to look stylish and I share about fashion which is wearable and affordable. I help my readers with their fashion, beauty and online shopping related queries.

How often do you blog?

Vandana : I write whenever I feel like sharing about latest fashion trends, new OOTDs and when I get work to write about new websites for which I get paid. But I try to publish blog post once or twice a week.

What has been your most successful blog post to date and what was it about?

Vandana : My most successful blog post has been my outfit post where I shared about silver and gold jewelry styling ways. t was about Fashion Blogger event which was organized by Swarovski brand where top 10 leading professional bloggers from Delhi got opportunity to show their styling skills, and I was one of them who got selected to associate with this awesome jewelry brand.

What do you find most challenging about blogging?

Vandana : I am blogging from last two years but still I feel there is much more to learn. I want to improve my writing style and I need to focus on the selection of words. I would love to use more effective vocabulary and I am trying to overcome all these weaknesses. The most challenging about blogging is to reach more number of blog readers.

What are some of your favorite author blogs and why?

Vandana : Frankly speaking I am not regularly reading any author blogs but I would like to mention that my favorite fashion blog is ‘Stylish By Nature’ because this blog by Shalini Chopra is very useful and I really get inspired by her blog.

What are your favorite books that you would recommend SIW family?

Vandana : I love reading..Or I can say that I love reading romantic novels whenever I get time. I loved this novel If It’s Not Forever, It’s Not Love by Durjoy  Dutta, in this book we get to read about what true love is all about. Then this book One and A Half Wife by Meghana Pant really impressed me as it very well explains the deep feelings of that woman in the story and also about the double standard people and tabboos or social evil practices that exists in our patriarchial society.

What advice would you give to young women readers of SIW who want to follow a similar career path as you?

Vandana : I would love to advice all women readers of SIW that if you want to follow this career path, then you will have to do this work wholeheartedly with lots of self-confidence and strong determination because fashion and passion goes hand in hand. Try to choose that work in which you can really do best and which you can enjoy too. Don’t take it as a work but an interesting fashion journey.
